The HID iCLASS R40 (Part# 6120/6122/6128/6129) is a wall-switch form-factor 13.56 MHz contactless smart card reader with an industry-leading read range of up to 4.25 inches. Compatible with US, EU, and Asian back box configurations, it reads HID iCLASS, ISO 15693 CSN, ISO 14443A (MIFARE) CSN, ISO 14443B CSN, FeliCa IDm, and FIPS 201 credentials. Wiegand or Clock-and-Data output, choice of pigtail or terminal strip, and low power consumption (< 100 mA at 5–16 VDC) make the R40 the ideal workhorse reader for most access control installations.
